Salary: Up to £46,000 Dependant on experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage a Team of up to 16, responsible for identifying and authorisation of isolations for all LOTO Permit to Work requests.
  • To manage a Team ensuring that Operation of Safe Systems of Work comply with Company processes and procedures to ensure the safety of all staff, ship equipment and structure whilst managing and controlling allocated Ship Services Team activities to achieve project delivery to time, cost and quality.
  • Plan, co-ordinate & record low level maintenance and equipment keep alive as required by contract specification.
  • Achieve maximum performance by utilising resources, tools, and equipment to full effect.
  • Provide information and advice to assist in the production of estimates for work packages and programmes.
  • Responsibility for ensuring all allocated work meets Product Safety standards

Your skills and experiences:


  • Experience in managing a team
  • Experience in Maritime environment and management/implementation of Safe Systems of Work
  • Good team player with excellent leadership qualities, needs to be flexible with good communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously/good decision-making capabilities


  • Previously served in Royal Navy or Merchant/Oil & Gas industry

The Ship Services team:

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within the Ship Services team, A unique team working across all types of vessels currently being used within the Royal Navy. No two days will be the same in this role! You will be working on Type 45 Destroyers, Minesweepers and Aircraft Carriers in the Portsmouth Naval Base. This is also a great opportunity for the development of existing experiences and skillsets, with the chance of progression later on down the line.
