Job title: Information System Security Manager (ISSM)
Location: RAF Coningsby or RAF Lossiemouth. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements.
Salary: £40,689 + depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Developing and maintaining a formal IS security program and policies for their assigned area of responsibility
- Developing and overseeing operational information systems security implementation policy and guidelines
- Assuming ISSO responsibilities in their absence
- Ensuring periodic testing is conducted to evaluate the security posture of IS by employing various intrusion/attack detection and monitoring tools
- Maintaining a repository of all organisational or system-level cybersecurity-related documentation (including ATOs) for IS under your purview
- Ensuring CM policies and procedures for authorising the use of hardware/software on an IS are followed
Your skills and experiences:
Essential
- Must hold (or have the ability to attain) a Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance
- Knowledge of IT system functions, security policies, technical security safeguards and operational security measures
- People Skills – This role involves dealing directly with TTF employees and our customer. The ability to explain security concepts in a clear and friendly manner across all levels of the organisation is key
- Some awareness of a project environment and awareness of lifecycle methodologies
- Ability to be read onto STRAP. Programme level access
- Must hold (or be working towards the attainment of) CompTIA Security+ certification. (Support is available to attain this certification post-employment for the right candidate)
Desirable
- Knowledge of the JSP 440
