Job title: Planning, Monitoring & Control Manager

Location: Barrow-in-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements

Salary: From £50,700 to £56,300 depending on experience

What you’ll be doing:

As thePlanning, Monitoring & Control Manager - Alliance Outputs and Communications Manager (OCM) will be doing:

  • Developing effective relationships with opposite numbers within BAES, RR, MoD (SDA), and the Alliance Programme Management Team; working collaboratively to drive joint understanding and clear communications with respect to project and programme performance
  • Establishing a standardised approach, enabling consistency of Project Controls information used for performance reviews and decision-making
  • Defining, developing and maintaining the Alliance Project Controls Outputs and Communications Strategy
  • Being a single conduit point of contact between the Alliance governance requirements and Alliance Project Controls team
  • Working with Alliance colleagues across the Project Controls functions to ensure alignment & coherency of analysis, interpretation and key messages in support of the agreed reporting drumbeats
  • Consolidating information including data and accompanying narratives to produce meaningful reporting outputs
  • Working closely with the Integrated Analysis Manager to deliver consistent Project Controls outputs

Your skills and experiences:

Essential

  • Strong leadership behaviours and a passion for driving the performance
  • Experience of working with stakeholders across multiple functions and grade structures and facilitating/influencing decision making at these levels
  • Relevant certification - APM Registered Project Professional; ACostE Certified Professional; CCAB Qualified; and/or a Technical, Engineering or Business degree at Masters level)

Desirable:

  • Experience in leading highly capable, cross-functional teams
  • Subject Matter Expert in one or more areas of Project Controls
  • Experience of working within a major UK investment project and knowledge of the UK Defence Sector and Submarines Enterprise

The Alliance Programme Controls team:

In the Alliance Programme Controls team you will have a unique viewpoint of the Dreadnought Programme – collaborating with colleagues from all Alliance Parties to enable data-driven decisions to be made in support of the delivery of Dreadnought.
