What you’ll be doing:

You will be mainly responsible for the delivery of application configuration for the Siemens end-to-end Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) application.

You will also have the opportunity to work on some exciting, leading edge projects within BAE SYSTEMS.

A good understanding of multi-tier software application delivery is desirable.

Key activities:

    Working with an extended team to develop clear application requirements.

      Working with vendors to support the creation and evolution of the application architecture.

        Liaise with external customers in a timely, accurate and appropriate manner ensuring that key messages are communicated effectively.

          Specification, design and build of application components.

            Installation of application components on large-scale multi-tier applications.

              Configuration and customisation of interfaces between component parts of the application.

                Integration with third party applications.

                  Support the documentation and development of standard methodologies and the further development of our knowledge base.

                    Data management – migration, Object Relational Mapping, SQL.

                      Automation and scripting.

                        Analysing and problem solving.

                          Support testing activities.

                            Application configuration across development, test and production environments.

                              Defect resolution and patch update.

                              Your skills and experiences:

                              Essential:

                                Excellent IT Knowledge.

                                  Experience with Large multi-tier applications (e.g. PLM systems).

                                    Broad understanding of engineering systems (CAD, PLM etc.).

                                      Experience working with COTS (commercial off the shelf engineering applications).

                                      Desirable:

                                        Experience with Teamcenter - Unified Architecture, BMIDE configuration, Active Workspace, Style sheets and multi-tier applications.

                                          Specific industry software experience would be advantageous in Teamcenter, TCRA, ENOVIA, Windchill and CAD (NX, CATIA).

                                            Database Management Systems such as SQL server and Oracle.

It is an exciting and challenging role, which will present the opportunity to design and implement systems for the world’s most advanced military aircraft.

                                            You will be mainly responsible for the delivery of application configurations for the Siemens based, end-to-end Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) application.
