Job title: Senior Procurement Manager
Location: Christchurch / Yeovil - We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements
Salary: £70,000+ (Depending on experience)
What you’ll be doing:
- Effectively lead a team of Procurement Delivery Managers & team members, responsible for the delivery of the supply chain capability for key customer contracts/ projects
- Manage the Procurement in-contract activities in conjunction with Commercial, Project and Technical teams, for your assigned area, including: subcontract construct; contract negotiation; contract implementation; through-life monitoring of deliverables, risk disposition, performance, cost and delivery.
- Create an environment for high performing teams and individuals through setting robust objectives, providing ongoing performance feedback and development planning
- Accountable for ensuring your team operates within the governance framework and assurance activities are undertaken
- Accountable for discharging an agreed workload, working within procurement policy, ensuring priorities are managed and issues are escalated when outside of your sphere of control
Your skills and experiences:
- Significant experience working within a Procurement, Programme Management, Engineering and/or similar environment
- Managing complex contracts with suppliers
- Commercial, Contractual, Legal and business acumen
- Working knowledge of UK MoD Framework Contracts and DEFCONs
- Possess a high standard of Procurement competence in key area of sourcing, process knowledge, contracting skills and supplier management
- Cross functional stakeholder management skills
- MCIPS qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.

The Procurement Delivery Team is a group of individuals who work together to ensure the successful procurement of goods and services. The team is typically responsible for developing and executing the procurement plan, sourcing, and qualifying suppliers, and managing the contract supplier relationship.
