Job title: Senior Software Developer - Cross Domain
Location: Yeovil. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements
Salary: Circa £52,500 depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Designing technical solutions and providing software development and testing of those solutions
- Adherence to project processes and software development practices
- Supporting system test and integration activities
- Producing technical documentation
- Generating and managing of requirements
- Estimating and reporting progress
- Leading a moderate sized team of software developers and being responsible for the required deliverables
- Planning, scheduling, assigning, and reviewing work of the team
- Liaising with multiple stakeholders and reporting on progress
- Coaching more junior staff in software development, and leading a team of software developers, while being responsible for the required deliverables
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Strong C++ and Java experience
- Experience of modern libraries including STL, Apache libraries (NiFi etc)
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals
- Linux or Windows development experience
Desirable:
- Defect Tracking software (JIRA preferred) would be advantageous
- Knowledge of distributed version control systems
- Experience with automated build and continuous integration suites
