Job title: Planning Monitoring and Control Manager

Location: Barrow-in-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements for this role

Salary: £70,000 plus depending on experience with car allowance on top

What you’ll be doing:

  • Implement & govern appropriately tailored Scheduling processes, procedures, practices & principles
  • Guide the operation of schedule health metrics and methodologies together with the provision of management analysis and independent challenge
  • Share good practice with others in the application of Planning & Scheduling methodologies and toolsets
  • Manage supervisory responsibilities including coaching members of the team (both direct and within the wider business & programmes), provide information & technical direction/guidance, monitoring quality of work and contributing to performance management
  • Help shape, deliver and actively support the Functional strategy imperatives
  • Liaise with other business functions, to develop & promote the delivery of progress and performance information for Projects/ Programmes/ Portfolios

Your skills and experiences:

Essential

  • Extensive knowledge of Planning & Scheduling Management (tools, techniques, practices) with a demonstrable, in depth understanding of Primavera
  • Ability to develop innovative solutions to complex issues in a wider Business context
  • Developed communication and diplomacy skills, with a demonstrable ability to persuade and influence both internal & external stakeholders, often at senior levels
  • Proficient in the capture, evaluation and sharing of good practice from both within the organisation and from external industry / sector sources
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Project Management governance and assurance processes and may be an LCM / IBR Assessor

Desirable

  • Proven track record of success in a similar role overseeing multiple large & complex programmes / projects is desirable
