Job title: Project Manager - Delivery

Location: Barrow-in-Furness

Salary: £50,700+

What you’ll be doing:

  • Establishing management arrangements for Sea Trials to generate and maintain Sea Trials programme
  • Supporting budget control
  • Preparation for advance of Sea Trials to ensure BAE requirements are satisfied
  • Performing the role of BAE representative at sea
  • Building the team in advance and make sure documentation is available when required
  • Supporting astute Sea Trials obligations

Your skills and experiences:

  • Understanding of submarine products
  • Have a test and trials background from engineering sense
  • Project Management qualification or engineering background (desirable)
  • Have an ex Navy background (desirable)

The Dreadnought team:

We are looking to bring another Project Manager to be responsible for Dreadnought. As a Project Manager, you will be working on SeaTrials programme and work on Use Astute programmes as learning curve. Furthermore, there is opportunity to work on Astute programme and taking learning into Dreadnought arena.

You will get the opportunity to work with a wide stakeholder group in a rewarding environment and to go to sea on submarines that are built. There is also scope to travel both UK and Foreign (mainly US).

The aim is for this to be a long-term venture. Expectation for role to progress to more senior opportunities within Sea Trials.
