What you’ll be doing:

  • Able to undertake problem solving typically
  • Have a comprehensive knowledge of Business process and procedures.
  • Administration and general office skills including spreadsheets/ Microsoft packages.
  • Attend on the job training as appropriate.
  • Able to manage the PM&C processes on a full project lifecycle to ensure that, over time, the needs of customers/users continue to be met.
  • Identify, assesses and manages risks to the success of the project. Applies appropriate PM&C methods and tools whether predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches. Agrees PM&C approach with stakeholders and tracks activities against the project schedule, managing stakeholder involvement as appropriate.
  • To participate in meetings to Consolidate expertise from multiple sources, including third party experts, to provide coherent advice to further organisational objectives.
  • Building and Maintaining internal and external stakeholder relationships

The Material Delivery team:

The individual in this role will be delivering material to the boat with project targets, working within and as part of a larger, more complex project. There are opportunities to progress through a training programme with a potential 12 month time plan based on the Individual.

We get to be physically more hands on with the product (Submarine) and get to see the transformation as the submarine progresses from build to Launch. They will also get to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders and also wider supporting function across the site including all manufacturing facilities. We also have flexible working hours giving more of a work to life balance.

They will have a level of experience in one or more areas of PM&C practice and be expected to be able to adapt and apply these practices in different circumstances. The majority of the team is S3 and you will be driving to mature the boat for launch.
