Job title: Lead Project Management Professional
Location: Portsdown Technology Park, Portsmouth. (Hybrid working available)
Salary: Up to £46,000 (Depending on skills and experience)
What you’ll be doing:
- Perform advanced project reporting & scheduling
- Manage and coordinate the tendering / bidding activities across the NCSISS programme
- Manage the full project lifecycle to ensure that, over time, the needs of customers/users continue to be met and that financial and other benefits are achieved
- Risk and opportunity management
- Deputises for the Project Manager as appropriate
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Problem solving most likely to apply in a new and existing Business environment
- A comprehensive understanding of how team integrates with other teams & projects to achieve objectives
- Ability to provide quality and timely work
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of PM policies, processes, procedures, and systems
- Experience with Microsoft packages
- Degree qualified or a substantial amount of practical knowledge gained through experience
Desirable:
- Good understanding of the structure, organisation, processes, and culture of Line of Business, so as to be able to support implementation of appropriate PM approaches
- Make judgments, recommendations and advises on analysis of factual information
- PM Qualification such as the APM Project Management Qualification

About The team:
This role will work in the Naval ships, Combat systems, NCSISS programme. The NCSISS programme provides a vital role in maintaining operational capability and assurance for the majority of the UK naval platforms.
