Job Title: Estimating Manager

Salary: £45,000+ Dependant on skills & experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Development, co-ordination and implementation of pricing and payment strategies and policies for BAE Systems for Domestic and International Customers
- Represent BAE Systems at corporate estimating forums interfacing with subject matter expertise to evolve WSUK estimating policy and process
- Lead submission support to the business to ensure that the submission of costing data to our Customers satisfies relevant governmental procurement requirements and procedures
- Developing parametric models and capability to advise the business on costs for new business and “should cost” data to enable business decisions
- Managing and developing customer relationships both internal and external, and supporting negotiations with all customers on-site or at Customer premises
- Working closely with the Procurement team to analyse supplier costing data
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Demonstrable prior experience in Estimating Roles
- Demonstrable expertise in and application of parametric estimating
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build and support relationships with customers and partners.
Desirable:
- Understanding of UK MOD Single Source Regulations Office (SSRO) and US Government Procurement Regulations to ensure compliance for proposal submission is desirable
- Knowledge of toolsets which make the preparation of estimates more accurate and efficient

We currently have a vacancy for an Estimating Manager to lead the pricing activities across a number of programmes with the US Government, UK Government and other International Customers across all phases of the life cycle.
This is a high profile role within our business with an opportunity to make a difference. As an Estimating Manager, you will be responsible for the leadership and development of costing and pricing strategies and shall provide advice, guidance and appropriate training on to influence and facilitate effective business decision making across the entire portfolio.
