Salary: Up to £36,000
What you’ll be doing:
- Identifying optimum sources of supply, to compile a competitive estimate, in line with Project Bid requirements
- Creation and compilation of Cost Model Estimates, in line with business and estimating processes
- Monitor and report on market trends and movements, including `Last Time Buy` options and obsolescence risk mitigation strategies
- Develop and maintain relationships with key Project and Supply Chain related stakeholders
Your skills and experiences:
- Estimating experience
- Commercially aware, and able to establish strong working relationships with key suppliers
- Attention to specification detail and its content
- Ability to identify and implement cost reduction opportunities
- Good communication skills

The Operational Procurement team:
Working alongside two Procurement Bids Leads, within the wider Operational Procurement team
Responsible for Projects covering Manufacturing, Training Services, Small Boats and Under Water Weapons
Key Programmes include Brimstone, PETC, M777, Falcon and TRAM
Key Customers include the U.K MoD, Canadian Navy and the United States Department of Defence
