Job title:Head of Supply Chain
Location: RAF Valley / Samlesbury / Brough
Salary: £60,000+
What you’ll be doing:
Have the responsibility for the operational performance and governance compliance of all Hawk UK Supply Chain activities
Be accountable to the Hawk Delivery Director and be the key point of contact into the UK Ministry of Defence (Defence Equipment & Support) for Supply Chain activities
Deliver supply chain performance to meet Hawk fleet operational availability in the near term, whilst also strategically developing the Hawk UK supply chain capability for long term prosperity
Ensure safety and compliance of all aspects of the supply chain solution in line with UK regulation & legislation
Manage the financial health of the supply chain activities, including the optimisation of budgets, risk & opportunity management and strive towards reducing the through life cost of ownership of the Hawk platform
Manage relationships across the Hawk UK solution, including with the UK Customer, inside the BAE Systems Hawk UK Operational Teams, across BAE Systems internal functions, into key suppliers and across other operators.
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
Has stakeholder management skills and maintains relationships throughout the CAO and SC (e.g. Maintenance, Engineering, Procurement and Finance). These relationships also extend to customer, partner & supplier organisations
Understands how to capture requirements and interpret these to set realistic plans and targets and have the ability to manage change to these plans and targets
Good Project Management skills across LCM, planning, budget control, risk and opportunity management, communications
Leadership and management skills are required to manage and integrate the various teams within the CAO and Supply Chain
Desirable
Requires knowledge of a Continuing Airworthiness Organisation (CAO), Supply Chain operations tools and techniques, protocols and procedures. Continuous improvement, capability development and sustainment are also an integral part of the role
Requires an understanding of how BAE Systems operates and how the role fits within this.The ability to set direction and manage change accordance to internal and external factors

The Hawk UK team:
The Hawk UK Team of BAE Systems has the responsibility to deliver availability support solutions to the UK Customer for the Hawk TMk1 and Hawk T2 aircraft fleets. With key locations at RAF Valley (North Wales), RAF Waddington (Lincolnshire), BAE Systems Samlesbury (Lancashire) and BAE Systems Brough (Humberside), a multi-functional BAE Systems team works alongside our UK Customer and Strategic Partners to deliver aircraft availability to support the Red Arrows and Military Flying Training System. The Hawk UK Supply Chain function is at the heart of our BAE Systems operational activities to deliver sustained operational support to our UK Customer.
