What you’ll be doing:
- Project/programme delivery.
- Support development of new business opportunities adjacent to the project/programme.
- Lead business financial objectives for orders, sales, gross margin and cash.
- Understand, analysis and maintain reporting packs to report project/programme performance for schedule, technical, financial and quality objectives.
- Establish and maintain strong stakeholder relationships maintaining regular communications and managing expectations.
- Take responsibility for achieving customer satisfaction.
- Proactively manage emerging risks and opportunities to the benefit of the project/programme.
- Continuous improvement and tailoring of procedures and guidelines for operation of the project/programme, ensuring adherence to the Operational Framework and LCM (Life Cycle Management) mandates.
- Lead and be accountable for a team and ensure a safe and healthy environment that promotes growth within and delivers on its promises.
Your skills and experiences:
- Experience in Project Management Roles with complex capability contracts and capable of understanding complex project management issues.
- Working knowledge and operational experience of the BAE Systems Operational Framework and Life Cycle Management Framework.
- Understanding and experience of the Financial, Commercial and Procurement processes and practices within BAE Systems.
- Capable of establishing credibility and hence influence with stakeholders across the business and the customer
- Capable of understanding the process and organisational issues associated with capability delivery programmes.
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent in a programme management discipline. Chartered Status and / or APMP / APM Practitioner or Prince 2 qualifications would be highly desirable.

The German and Spanish Capability Programmes team:
We have an exciting opportunity to offer a position with full exposure to the breadth of the change lifecycle. We are looking for a rounded Project Manager to deliver the high profile and strategically important E-SCAN Radar programme to our German and Spanish customers.Specifically, this individual will deliver the contract requirements providing Design, Clearance and Equipment enabling our customers to introduce E-SCAN Radar capability to the German and Spanish In Service Fleet. The job holder will be required to work innovatively with the functional teams and customer communities to ensure effective delivery of contractual outputs. International travel required once per month.
