What you’ll be doing:
Collaborating with all relevant stakeholders about the T&C function in a timely, professional manner
Being responsible for research, compilation, reviews & feedback of appropriate documentation to the required standard
Identifying to the line manager the required team resource & experience
Being responsible for delivering assigned activities in line with Company policy, procedures, and legislation
Performing the role of line management to those Engineers identified in your hierarchy and demonstrate management behaviours
Being accountable for directional responsibility for allocating & prioritising work, guiding day to day activities ensuring volume of workload is achievable & any issues are raised
Supporting managers in offering coaching & development as well as providing input on performance reviews and career development
Being accountable for ensuring any Commissioning Engineers within their hierarchy are accurately booking their time
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
Detailed knowledge of safety controls & procedures in a high-risk operational environment
Ability to provide technical knowledge & instruction when required
Knowledge and understanding of Mechanical Testing and Pressure & Endurance Testing, and to provide technical guidance to Propulsion systems
Desirable:
Background in submarines or experience working on challenging engineering projects
Experience in authorising test documentation
HNC/HND/degree in engineering or equivalent experience

The Test & Commissioning Team
As a Commissioning Project Lead, you will be the pivotal figure through the life cycle of the project and can significantly shape the direction it takes. You will be responsible for the administration, technical control & development of personnel in consistently achieving the following; Departmental goals, Performance metrics expectations and Milestones in accordance with the Contract Delivery Programme.
