Job Title: Data Analyst

Location: Portsmouth- Naval Site. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements

Salary: Up to £45,000 depending on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

• The Service Performance Data Analyst is to provide a business data analysis capability to manage data and optimise the service.

• You will apply data management principles in accordance with central policy to multiple data sets in order to develop a unified architecture which can support performance metrics.

• You will use analytic skills to interrogate multiple data sources to analyse business performance and summarise the data to provide meaningful analysis.

• You will act as a source of data management, visualisation and business analysis knowledge, embedding and promoting good data management practices.

• You will Collect, organise and study data to provide service delivery insights and enable forecasting and monitoring performance indicators.

• You will conduct route causes analysis on process areas then summarise and present evidence based conclusions.

Your skills and experiences:

Essential

• Extensive experience with Software analytical tools

• Experience with Excel and reporting

• Experience with Power BI

• 2 years’ experience in similar role and background

Desirable

• Experience with either Alteryx or Tableau

The Business and Performance Data Analytics team: This is a critical role in our ‘data integrity’ journey for Maritime Services, Asset Management where you will be working within a very busy dynamic environment, working collaboratively with the wider Asset Management community in order to deliver dashboards and data analytics in line with our Business Strategy.
