Job Title: SeniorManagement Accountant

Location: Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria with the requirement to regularly travel to BAE sites in southern UK. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements, currently one day a week onsite in Barrow with option to come in more.

Salary: £43,373 + depending on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

    Delivering value-adding, robust financial support to the Integrated Combat Systems (ICS) programme within BAE Systems Submarines business

      Budgeting and forecasting of business unit overhead costs

        Regular financial reporting & analysis
        • Monthly journal preparation and processing

          Resolving problems to ensure management reporting is both accurate and delivered on time

            Maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external customers

            Your skills and experiences:

              CIMA, ACCA or equivalent qualification

                Excellent verbal and written communication

                  Good presentation skills

                    Ability to set own targets and manage workload

                      Comfortable working with people at all levels of the business

                      The Cost Performance Team:

                      If you’re a self-starter that enjoys working with others in a varied role, this is a great opportunity to become an integral part of the ICS (Integrated Combat Systems) programme within BAE Systems Submarines. The Cost Performance team of 9 accountants also manage the financial overheads at a functional level as well as for the Astute, Dreadnought and SSNR programmes.As part of this team, you will be responsible for the planning and control of a combined cost base of over £1 billion per year. If you can work on your own initiative and be reactive to the ever changing demands of the role, you will fit right in.
