Job Title: Senior Mechanical CAD Engineer

Salary: Up to £46,000 depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
Working with multiple stakeholders as a senior engineer on the design of new products, making extensive use of COTS components
Applying your knowledge, technical skills and general engineering experience to generate mechanical CAD models
Carrying out technical analysis and investigations, including evaluation and selection of technical options, and preparing models with suggested recommendations to support design improvements
Supporting Design and Peer Reviews
Generation of manufacturing data packs
Modifications and maintenance of legacy designs
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
Experience in an engineering discipline
Experience of using CAD modelling tools
HNC\HND qualified, likely to be in a technology, engineering or science related discipline or equivalent experience
Desirable:
Ability to meet the requirements for registration as Incorporated Engineer or Chartered Engineer with the Engineering Council and preferably be a member of a relevant Professional body or working towards an appropriate level of engineering accreditation with a relevant professional body
Experience in a defence or related industry
Knowledge of the Naval domain
Familiarity with Siemens NX, Teamcenter and knowledge of PDM tools (e.g SAP)

Our Shared Infrastructure Hardware Team:
As a Senior Mechanical CAD Engineer, you will be responsible for producing and maintaining drawings of models used for the production of naval ship equipment. This is an excellent opportunity where you will be working in a flexible environment undertaking a wide variety of work.
