Job Title: Installation Design Engineer

Salary: up to £55,000 depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
Identify requirements for installation of the system, for example site, physical, electrical, environmental, safety, security and legislative
Understanding the technical and physical impact of implementing a new system with an existing system
Be responsible for system installation design and systems interfacing
Be responsible for setting systems to work, system transition and gaining installation sign off
Identify and estimate tasks related to the installation of systems for proposals
Write reports to provide input for proposals
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
Commercial off-the-shelf software integration
Integration of Information Technology equipment
Electrical Design and Installation
Systems integration
Technical documentation
Structural, Safety Assesment and understanding of Design Certification and Product Safety Processes
Experience of cabling (data and electrical) and installing the likes of cabling, servers, switches, routers in racks data centres, server room, cabinets
Desirable:
BS7671 qualified
Integration in to military vehicles, aircraft or vehicles would be desirable

The Defence Information team:
BAE Systems Defence Information have been contracted to develop, install and commission a number of different information systems into a number of environments, Land, Sea and Air across multiple platforms. Your role will be to manage and complete all tasks related to the installation of the information systems.
