Job Title:Network Solutions Architect

What you’ll be doing:
Designing and leading the design of and changes to network solutions between complex software intensive systems, which satisfy a diverse array of functional and non-functional requirements
Maturing the design through engineering lifecycles with a focus on safety and security
Identifying de-risking opportunities for integration
Developing and maintaining documentation engineering suites
Communicating with a range of key internal and external stakeholders including customers and suppliers
Supporting other engineering teams as a technical advisor on network technologies and systems
Providing technical leadership in the development of bids/plans
Supporting the development of colleagues in your area of expertise
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
A deep understanding of Network principles, technologies and equipment throughout the engineering lifecycle
Competency in design and integration
Experience acting a senior member of a multidisciplinary team
Self-motivated, organised and a methodical approach to work
Chartered Status or equivalent qualifications and experience
Desirable:
Experience integrating across a broad system of systems
Expertise in network design configuration and obsolescence management
A specialism in Fibre Optic technologies

The Network Solutions Architect teams:
Network Solutions Architects are deployed within each of our major programmes owning the primary network system(s) and providing advice and support to the wide range of stakeholders associated.
Typically working as part of broader, Communications Engineering teams these roles offer the opportunity to apply your networks knowledge in a truly unique and interesting way whilst gaining exposure to a wide array of other Communications and Software Intensive Systems.
