Job Title: Principal Manufacturing Engineer – Build Line Support Leader

What you’ll be doing:

    To lead and manage a team; planning and co-coordinating their activities to meet departmental and business requirements. Including identifying opportunities for their training and development

    rovide specialist advice, product/process knowledge, and output requirements. Utilising innovation and creativity to solve problems and implement continuous improvement

    • M
    anage teams performance, task management, delegation, and project delivery

      To chair technical meetings and reviews, that support the Manufacturing Engineering end deliverables

        Communicating with our customers and communicating back into build line support, gathering issues from key stakeholders and identifying opportunities to support our customers

          To provide supporting information to Senior Management for determining the team resourcing requirements

            Support business justifications to implement new and replaceexisting technologies / equipment into Manufacturing Production areas

            Your skills and experiences:

              HNC minimum level qualification with extensive Engineering experience OR Appropriate degree with some Manufacturing Engineering experience

                Ability to lead and drive team to achieving key milestones

                  The ability to analyse complex problems and identify the most critical issues

                    Submarine Product knowledge would be advantageous

                      IT Skills - Visio and Solid Works advantageous

                      The Manufacturing Engineering team:

                      The purpose of Manufacturing Engineering is to develop, implement and govern capable methods of manufacture, assembly, disassembly and repair (including method of verification) which can meet customer and business requirements for Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring compliance to design intent. As a Principal Manufacturing Engineer, you will lead and manage a team of manufacturing engineers responsible for delivering highly complex, cross discipline projects. You will utilise your extensive knowledge and experience to guarantee delivery of Manufacturing Engineering outputs into Operations that ensure design intent can be met.
