Job title: Systems Engineer Lead - Technical Frameworks
Location: Barrow-in-Furness, Frimley, Weymouth, Bristol or Farnborough.We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements for the role. There will be a requirement to attend Barrow-in-Furness when required by the business

What you’ll be doing:
Work with stakeholders to develop and manage SE/Model-Based Systems Engineering technical frameworks, namely the frameworks for a) processes, b) architecture, c) modelling and d) ontologies
Develop and maintain tailoring guidance for the application of the frameworks to the variety of systems encountered in the submarines product
Provide coaching, training and ad hoc support to users of the frameworks so that they are able to interpret and use them in practical engineering applications
Work closely with specialist engineering stakeholders to ensure that their needs are incorporated coherently and maintained within the frameworks
Work closely with Tooling and Infrastructure stakeholders (including IM&T) to ensure that the frameworks are implementable and supportable
Monitor SE/Model-Based Systems Engineering technical developments and best practice in domains relevant to the frameworks, such as modelling languages and ontologies, to make informed decisions about their adoption within the frameworks
Apply configuration management to the collection of frameworks to ensure coherent upgrades are made
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
Expertise required in the application of modern systems engineering methods to large scale system development, including a variety of system types.
- Experience of Model-Based Systems Engineering technical methods and practices, including ontologies, modelling languages, architecture frameworks, processes and tooling
Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent working experience
Chartered status or working towards
Desirable:
Masters or PhD in a relevant domain
INCOSE CSEP or ESEP

You will be joining a newly formed Systems team covering all aspects of engineering throughout the lifecycle, implementing a variety of tools and techniques tailored to support the specialist requirements of our products.
