Job title: Mechanical Fitter – Maintenance
Location: Barrow-in-Furness - (Shift work when available)

What you’ll be doing:
Complying with Health and Safety & relevant regulations and guidelines
Carry out fault finding and testing activity
Following relevant instructions, technical drawings and manufactures drawings
Using associated tools and equipment safely and effectively
Understanding of Regulation e.g. RISK & COSHH etc.
Supporting and mentoring apprentices in their development
Your skills and experiences:
Time Served Accredited Apprenticeship in a Mechanical discipline
Ability to read technical / working drawings and manufactures instructions
Correct and safe use of all tooling
NVQ3 + Maintenance Experience
Experience in Heavy engineering background would be beneficial

The Maintenance Engineering team:
You will be working alongside other mechanical fitter's electricians and plumbers.Your day will consist of various tasks, from repairing bench drills to repairing pipe benders, along with other tasks such as pumps and valves up to the maintenance of transfer cars used to roll the submarines out with.
