Job title: Production Planning & Maintenance Lead

Location: RAF Leeming - predominately on site

Salary: £40,000+ depending on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

Producing work packs in the production planning toolset, reviewing dependencies and enablers affecting critical paths and schedule adherence

Ensuring aircraft and or component work packages are established in an integrated facility production plan for the maintenance facility

Reviewing emergent work that has been planned, ensuring its most appropriate position within the work packages, taking into account the numerous variables which will materialise during the maintenance event

Reporting percentage completed to relevant manager on progress against all scheduled activities, planned tasks and highlighting new tasks assigned into the scheduled work package

Reporting the impact of the dependencies on delivery dates and ensuring work packages and schedule are amended accordingly in a control manner

Providing oversight and governance, applying knowledge and understanding of maintenance planning, ensuring that the appropriate AMC (acceptable means of compliance) is followed

Reviewing impacts of customer changes to individual work packs, notifying relevant manager of the impact to the aircraft or component output dates

Taking a lead role in making operational decisions

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

Good understanding and experience of planning and project management methods to enable successful delivery of aircraft

Knowledge of operational management within a support environment

Good stakeholder management experience both externally and internally of varying levels

Relevant HND/HNC in Aeronautical Engineering and or a recognised Engineering Degree

Desirable:

Ability to analyse and interpret data

Good understanding of Project Management and continuous improvement techniques would be beneficial

Knowledge of the Hawk platform would be advantageous

The Production Control team:

The team are responsible for the production and planning and delivery of aircraft from maintenance as part of the Qatar Hawk Training squadron. They are working closely with the Qatar Emiri Air Force and the Royal Air Force to deliver pilot training.
