Job Title: Senior Electromagnetics Engineer
Location: Warton - We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements
Salary: £45,326 - £49,834 (depending on skills and experience)
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting your team in the delivery of the team objectives in accordance with time, cost and quality
- Supporting the definition of the Low Observable (LO) elements of vehicle configuration options
- Participating in the design of the LO elements of vehicle design
- Supporting the specification, monitoring, and analysis of Radar Cross Section (RCS) tests and InfraRed (IR) tests to support LO design activities
- Carrying out theoretical and analytical RCS and IR computations to support LO Design activities
- Responsible for leading/ guiding a small team
- Responsible for applying relevant engineering and design standards and processes
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Minimum of HNC or recognised degree and/or apprenticeship in a STEM subject (Physics, Mathematics, Electronic/Electrical Engineering, System Engineering, Aerospace Engineering and/or Computational Modelling)
- Demonstrable and relevant experience within Electromagnetics Engineering (if you do not hold the above qualification)
- Proven knowledge/understanding of Design IT tools e.g., CAD systems
Desirable:
- An understanding of the overall systems engineering lifecycle
- Experience working within a large, complex, multi-project environment
- Understanding of Airframe, Propulsion and Aircraft Systems architectures
- Understanding of CFD, thermodynamics / heat transfer

Electromagnetics Engineering Team:
As a Senior Electromagnetics Engineer, you will be working within a specialist team where you will develop experience and expertise in applying Electromagnetic principles to the design of our airborne platforms
