Job title: Export Control Assurance Lead

Location: Glascoed

Salary:Circa £35,000 depending on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting the development of the annual self-audit programme to meet corporate requirements for export control assurance
  • Planning, executing, and completing audits and process confirmations as required
  • Tracking performance against self-audit programme and closure of actions escalating issues as appropriate
  • Reporting on performance for management reviews
  • Tracking and reporting on business risks to provide an input into, amongst other things, the audit planning process, business reviews and Operational Assurance activities

Your skills and experiences:

  • Previous experience in governance or assurance
  • Knowledge of Export Controls (including ITAR/EAR and UK Export Controls) – desirable but not essential
  • Strong ability to use data to identify and understand systemic issues, themes, and trends
  • Excellent report writing skills conveying key messages clearly and succinctly
  • A motivated, driven individual with disciplined self-organisation and an ability to work effectively towards deadlines
  • There may be a requirement to travel to BAE Systems sites

The Team:

This role will provide you with an opportunity to build a stakeholder network across the wider business. This varied role provides you with exposure of working across multiple business units including Weapons, Naval Ships, Land UK, and Digital Intelligence.

You will be responsible for understanding, applying, and implementing Export Control compliance obligations at the business level. These include compliance with all company export control policies and procedures and compliance with all applicable export control laws and regulations.
