Job Title: Senior Engineer - Nuclear (Substantiation)

What you’ll be doing:

    Reviewing and authoring nuclear substantiation documentation to support the site safety case

      Reviewing calculations & analysis work

        Supporting periodic review of safety

          Supporting implementation of substantiation requirements

            Support Maintenance Reviews

              Work closely with the Engineering Authority team of specific/allocated assets

                Work closely with Human Factors and Site Safety case Teams

                  Support wider business on Nuclear substantiation related activities

                  Your skills and experiences:

                  Essential

                    Be able to work as part of a team

                      Broad understanding of multiple engineering discipline

                        Experience in nuclear or other high hazard or highly regulated industry

                          Ability to produce high quality technical reports

                          Desirable

                            Experience of nuclear substantiation or safety case desirable

                            The Engineering - Nuclear (Substantiation) team:

                            You will be joining an ever-expanding team with some great development opportunities both in the technical and managerial streams, including sponsorship for further education. This role will provide a strong foundation for developing Nuclear SQEP and progression through Nuclear baselined roles.

                            You will benefit from a broad spectrum of involvement in all of the Barrow Site Nuclear Substantiation and safety related activities, working closely with the Engineering Authority, Safety Case and Operations teams. This will include a wide variety of assets to be involved with (Mechanical, Civil & Structural, Electrical, Radiological, Chemical/Process).
