What you’ll be doing:
You will be responsible for the engineering development of system designs and their integration into the Submarine. Ensure robust engineering solutions are compliant with the system and whole boat design criteria.Developing and maturing design solutions against the criteria. Writing design descriptions and justification documentation. Design drawings, interface management, stakeholder, and supplier engagement.
Your skills and experiences:
Essential
Degree or equivalent in relevant engineering subject such as Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Understand the fundamentals of the engineering lifecycle
Commitment to high standards of quality in engineering output

The SSN AUKUS – Ocean Interfaces Team
Are you relishing an opportunity to work on unique platforms of national importance? If so, we currently have a vacancy for a Mechanical Engineer within our SSN AUKUS – Ocean Interfaces Teambased at our site in Barrow-in-Furness. This role will provide you with the opportunity to work on major, high profile engineering programmes for Submarine Platforms in design and build, enabling you to interact with several internal and external stakeholders.The SSN AUKUS platform and its Ocean Interfaces are unique and there are many opportunities for development.Opportunities for Engineering Chartership and career progression to S4 level is likely achievable in 12-18 months once development in domain knowledge of submarines and business processes has been achieved.
