Job title: Senior Project Controller

Salary:£40,000 + Depends on experience
What you’ll be doing:
As a Project Controller it is essential you are a Professionally Qualified individual or have significant experience working on project control environment.You will have a strong working knowledge and experience in the Planning, Monitoring and Control discipline, or has advanced and specialised technical expertise, typically developed through a combination of job-related training and considerable work experience. The Project Controller will be responsible for developing and maintaining MS Project schedules to monitor and update the status of projects across a portfolio, using standard toolsets and processes from across the business they will provide a clear understanding of the business financial forecasts and resourcing requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
Analysis and reporting of project status to team members, leadership and external stakeholders
Ensuring accurate data is available for the monthly performance reporting cycle
Presenting data when required to stakeholder audiences
Developing and tracking project schedules
Development of management reports and metrics
Financial forecasting
Overseeing the implementation of the appropriate project control processes and checks to ensure they are operating accurately, effectively and efficiently
Engaging with Customers (Account Managers, Senior Project Managers and cross Functional Leads) and continuously improve how project control is applied
Recommending, designing and managing the implementation of the Project Control suite of tools, and providing documented guidance
Providing guidance to others
Leading by example, the effective application of Project Control practices
Supporting and leading on effective project management governance and application
Ensuring change control across the project(s)
Good understanding of the Business environment for the Line of Business or project, its markets, customers, strategic priorities, and culture
Your skills and qualifications as a Senior Project Controller:
Competence in:
At least 5 Years’ experience working in a project control environment
Well versed in Project Control tools and techniques, including project planning, tracking and reporting
Planning and scheduling – particularly MSP 2016
Working to quality standards and qualifications thinking and problem solving
Communication, influencing and inter-personal skills
Strategic planning, risk management and change management
Project management techniques and tools
Project execution – clear understanding of the project(s) performance against the project baseline
Ideally you have a degree or equivalent Project Management qualification, although relevant knowledge and experience may offset the qualification requirements. Previous experience of working with MOD contracts is preferable.You will be required to obtain full Security Clearance.

The Program/Project Management team:
As part of the project team, you will be expected to work closely with team members, and support the team and/or project(s) leadership in daily activities, to ensure the smooth running of the project(s).
