Boral is currently looking for a data governance lead with leadership skills to work on the new program of work in a permanent techno-functional role. We are looking for a Data Management specialist with good knowledge of Data Warehouse, Reporting and Master Data Management Solution and/or SAP MDG.
The goal is to increase trust in data, allowing it to reach its greatest potential in terms of creating and protecting value for all stakeholders. The Data Governance Lead is expected to work closely with the business and the implementation team in order to ensure the business processes and the data are aligned to be mastered assuring quality, compliance, and operating procedures.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Identify and establish data governance - processes, technology, frameworks, roles and responsibilities to enable the strategy.
- Lead the Data Governance Groups in the implementation of the Data Governance framework and execution of their accountabilities.
- Engage and educate key stakeholders as well as technical and operational teams across the business on source of truth, data governance processes and procedures.
- Implement robust data quality management processes, ensuring effective monitoring of data quality metrics and the remediation of issues, as well as effective access management processes for the organisation's strategic data assets.
- Manage changes/updates to the master data implementation, inclusive of coordinating any execution plans.
- Oversight of Enterprise metadata, enterprise information, and master data
Skills/ experience
- Demonstrable experience in uplifting data governance and data management capability of an organisation
- Experience with master data management, data warehousing and reporting
- Leadership and business acumen & or experience to lead large cross functional initiatives
- Past delivery of MDM solution with multi-domain experience
- Ideally, SAP MDG certifications or other SAP certifications (desirable)
- Experience with developing enterprise data dictionary and data architecture, including data modelling and understanding of different data structures and their benefits and limitations under particular use cases
