The role:
Allens Asphalt is seeking a responsible, organised and experienced individual to join our team as a Project Engineer based in Narangba. Reporting to the Area Manager – Asphalt, you will be will be responsible for effectively managing and coordinating asphalt projects whilst ensuring construction exceeds standards and legislation, minimising risk and ensuring that Boral meets performance expectations.
Desired experience will include:
- Planning and scheduling of day-to-day activities to meet project milestones
- Liaising and working closely with senior engineers and site personnel to deliver performance
- Effectively apply terms of the contract in maximizing value
- Monitoring of supplier & subcontractor performance, and
- Provide engineering support to management as required
Do you possess the following skills:
- Proven ability with experience in civil engineering roles
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in the engineering field
- Proven leadership in Health & Safety
- Contractor management experience
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize competing deadlines
- Knowledge and understanding of project management methodology
- Proficient Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint skills and Project
- Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with all people, and to lead and influence people, and
- Personal drive and results-orientation
