The Project
The CPB Contractors, Ghella & UGL joint venture has been successful in securing the contract to deliver the $2.6bn M6 Stage 1 project. The project will deliver the missing link from Sydney’s south to the wider Sydney motorway network making journeys easier, faster and safer. It will remove more than 2,000 trucks a day from surface roads and help return local streets to local communities.
With works commencing in early 2022, the M6 Stage 1 project scope includes the construction of twin four-kilometre tunnels and associated works, linking the M8 Motorway at Arncliffe to President Avenue at Kogarah.
The Opportunity
The M6 Stage 1 Project has an opportunity for an Undergraduate Engineer to work on our exciting project!
Based in Rockdale, the Undergraduate Engineer’s responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
- Carrying out detailed design work and documentation under supervision
- Contributing to the delivery of projects
- Liaising with the project team on the delivery of designated work on packages and projects
- Assisting in preparation of specifications, proposals and other documents under supervision
Minimum requirements for this role include the following:
- Currently studying a civil engineering degree or similar
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Strong computer skills and intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Comfortable with learning new technology & systems
- Excellent attention to detail
- Can-do attitude
The successful candidate will be required to hold a current Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card or equivalent) and undergo a medical assessment (including drug and alcohol testing) prior to commencement.
