What you’ll do

The Trust group works to build trust and keep bad actors out of all sides of our marketplace: consumers, riders and partners. You will work across customer account security, payment fraud, money laundering, compensation abuse, market abuse, decision auditing, finding solutions to some of the toughest and interesting questions we must answer for Deliveroo

As a Senior Manager, You will report to Group Product Manager and lead a team of fraud analysts and auditors to improve fraud detection and prevention and help to accelerate our shift towards more precise and automated fraud decisioning. You will also:

  • Manage step-change improvements to fraud detection, prevention and internal processes including strategy creation.

  • Support development and go-to-market of fraud prevention products and automations, working with technology specialists.

  • Manage a team of fraud analysts and fraud auditors, ensuring they are set up to be a team.

  • Manage commercial relationships with main third party fraud vendors, leading on procurement and performance management.

  • Lead on fraud investigations, escalations and incident management, producing high-quality analysis and driving rapid resolution of emergent fraud issues.

  • Solve operational challenges ensuring we are achieving our short, medium and long-term goals.

  • Manage internal stakeholder communication across all levels of the business to lead an agreement on approach across the business.

  • Oversee fraud performance reporting, ensuring there are appropriate forums and ceremonies for stakeholders to understand performance and make decisions.

Expectations:

We want to emphasise that we don't expect you to meet all of the below but would love you to have experience in some of these areas.

  • Experience in relevant operations, product or strategy roles.

  • Partner management skills with experience influencing ideas and stakeholders across different areas.

  • Experience prioritising work for both, teams and individuals.

  • Pride in coaching junior team-members and others in the business.

  • Ability to successfully deliver on projects and influence internal and external teams.

  • Have a deep desire to solve real-world, always looking for ways to improve and creatively solve - both the big strategic things, and the smaller quick wins.

  • Ability to join quantitative and qualitative approaches to frame and synthesise complex business problems into concise and easy-to-understand solutions

  • Solid quantitative skills (Excel and/or other data modelling platforms) and ability collaborate with Data Scientists and others to make data-led decisions and navigate multi-sided trade-offs

  • Experience in conducting 80/20 analysis, drawing out business insights from that analysis and presenting findings persuasively.

  • Experience presenting data in compelling ways to communicate concepts and desired outcomes through written and oral communication channels.

Workplace & Diversity

At Deliveroo we know that people are the heart of the business and we prioritise their welfare. We offer multiple great benefits in areas including health, family, finance, community, convenience, growth and relocation.

We believe a great workplace is one that represents the world we live in and how beautifully diverse it can be. That means we have no judgement when it comes to any one of the things that make you who you are - your gender, race, sexuality, religion or a secret aversion to coriander. All you need is a passion for (most) food and a desire to be part of one of the fastest-growing startups in an exciting space.

You’ve got this!
