The Assistant Manager Systems and Data is a new role within the GBE-N Commercial team which will provide essential support ensuring the effective management of systems, tools and processes to facilitate commercial delivery. The role holder will also be responsible for management of data and analysis to improve efficiency, mitigate risk and enable GBE-N to deliver on its priorities and obligations.
We are looking for a highly motivated and pragmatic individual to lead on the support, management, continuous improvement and development of our e-sourcing system Jaggaer, its data and information, and provide proactive and positive engagement with stakeholders.
The systems and modules we currently manage include: Jaggaer One procurement system including modules; Supplier Management+, Sourcing+, Contracts, Savings Management, Category Management +, Spend Management + and Procurement Analytics+. Docusign, AWARD and Power BI.
Day to day duties:
eSourcing System
- Supporting users, primarily the GBE-N commercial team in using Jaggaer.
- Designing, maintaining and delivering relevant training material for system users.
- Collaborating with colleagues to analyse issues, problem solve and provide advice, solutions & options on the Jaggaer system.
Administration
- System administration: managing configuration updates and implementing small changes; managing mass data uploads; managing data mart reporting.
- Lead the set-up of AWARD e-evaluation projects and integration with Jaggaer for high value and complex projects.
Information and Data
- Lead reporting and data activities, including development and integration with Power BI dashboards.
- Creating and managing Jaggaer data mart reporting, using the system functionality to build bespoke reports.
- Manging system interdependences, including engagement with key stakeholders such as Finance, Legal and Project Controls.
Development and Projects
- Understand requirements, support the planning of design, implementation and testing; documentation, training and share knowledge with other colleagues to ensure effective business readiness and that users get what they need and expect.
- Support the re-procurement of the commercial system liaising with the commercial lead for digital
- Horizon scanning: identifying and assessing the impact of potential future system, process and reporting changes.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Engaging in internal and cross government data and systems groups.
- Fully including commercial users in system projects and encourage the uptake of new processes and systems.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Demonstratable experience in system and data management, with the ability to develop and implement data-driven methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an agile approach to addressing system challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with team members
- Proficient in E-procurement systems, Power BI, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and familiar with data analysis techniques.
- Proactive with a drive for continuous improvement.
- Desirable - Commercial knowledge and experience across the full commercial lifecycle, with public sector procurement experience being beneficial.
- Desirable - familiarity with Cyber Essentials and information security principles.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related field (or equivalent experience).
