The Team and Areas of Ownership
Studios oversees the flagship Product Information Management (PIM) product within Akeneo, which is used daily by thousands of users worldwide to manage their global product information from a single location.
The Automation and AI team is a part of the Studios Product Line. Our mission is to build trust in AI-enhanced enrichment by providing reliable and transparent content, empowering human reviewers to confidently approve and validate it, and to accelerate time-to-completeness across the PIM.
In this role, you will be crucial in developing capabilities that leverage automation and artificial intelligence to enhance the efficiency and intelligence of product information management within Akeneo, aligning directly with our team's core objectives.
The team has a strategic mission, like a startup within a startup, to discover new product lines at Akeneo. To do this, we are looking for highly experienced people who have scaled systems, specifically those who have worked with high data volumes, enterprise SaaS software, large LLMs and visual models, and business rules engines.

What You Will Deliver in the Role…
Customer-Focused learnings: Your weekly goal is to learn from customers. This means building, but also researching, analyzing data, and direct interaction.
Collaborative Prototyping: Partner with product designers to create prototypes, iterating fast for customers' insights.
Continuous Improvement: Monitor performance and adoption, and adapt as customer needs evolve.
Apply a micro-frontend strategy using React.js (w/TypeScript) and Redux with some decoupling, whilst still integrating with crucial legacy components within the core of our Product Information Management (PIM) system which is built with PHP 8+ using Symfony.
Develop and integrate automation and AI-driven features to accelerate time to market (TTM) for our customers.
Extend our Cloud-based infrastructure, which is based on GCP, GKE / Kubernetes, PubSub, MySQL, Datadog, and ElasticSearch.
Enhance workflows utilizing Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Hexagonal Architecture with CQRS on the backend, specifically with a focus on automation and AI integrations.
What Will Set You Up for Success at Akeneo…
Strong experience with React.js and TypeScript (including state management solutions such as Redux) for building scalable micro-frontend architectures alongside proficiency with PHP (Symfony) on the backend.
Proven experience in developing and implementing automation solutions and integrating AI/ML models into enterprise software.
Experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly GCP services including GKE/Kubernetes, PubSub, and database technologies like MySQL alongside observability and monitoring tools like Datadog and ElasticSearch.
Strong understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Hexagonal Architecture, and CQRS patterns in backend development.
A test-driven and self-testing mindset where you build quality into your code from the get-go.
Provide mentorship and guidance to transfer knowledge across the function and upskill less experienced Engineers.
Stellar communication skills and an ability to “read the room” and adjust your vocabulary to suit both technical and non-technical audiences.
