Exciting opportunity to recruit a Privacy Analyst based at Monument Place - this position will be a secondment or Fixed Term Contract
As the Privacy Analyst you will manage the public facing Privacy account and respond to all requests from data subjects exercising their rights under data protection law. Provide support to the Data Protection Manager and the wider Internal Audit & Compliance team.
Key success criteria (expected outcomes)
- Comprehensive risk-based data mapping and corresponding inventory of all personal data processed by or on behalf of GTR.
- Effective procedures for processing data subject access request (DSAR)s including locating, retrieving, proof-reading & redacting the relevant personal data.
- Safeguards to prevent DSARs causing reputational damage to GTR or providing evidence against the company in civil litigation
- Good awareness of data protection risks across the business
Knowledge
- Data Protection qualification or willingness to obtain it
- Some knowledge of ISO 27001 and information security standards is desirable
Skills
- Self-motivated
- Dedicated to continuous improvement
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills,
- Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft 365
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to communicate with colleagues and senior managers clearly & concisely, both verbally and in writing
Experience
- Data protection, particularly subject access requests.
