The Role
We currently have a Store Manager position available for an experienced retail leader with a passion for retail to join us at our Khub Katherine store.
Critical to our operations are our Store Managers who are responsible for leading and developing a team whilst driving our growth by increasing sales results year on year and overseeing the overall operation of the store.
This is not only an outstanding opportunity for local retail leadership talent to mentor and inspire a high performing team, but it is also a rare and exciting career-defining opportunity to play a pivotal role at this new store in Katherine.
As a Store Manager you will have led large teams of 200+ staff with 4 or more direct reporting managers while working with sales in excess of $30M per year. Your role is to ensure there is a positive store culture where customer service is a priority, managing the financial performance of the store, promoting strong leadership by coaching and developing the management team and team members and ensuring plans and strategies are effectively employed to increase sales and reduce expenses. With the focus on improving the in-store experience, you will provide clear direction to your management team to enhance the store environment and ensure we are the number one discount department store for Australian customers.
About You
As the ideal candidate you will require:
- Prior retail leadership experience from a big box, high volume environment to really hit the ground running!
- A passion for delivering results that will motivate your team
- Demonstrable leadership abilities that develop and inspire high performing teams
- The ability to foster strong relationships with team members, peers, customers and leaders
- Lots of enthusiasm, initiative, problem solving abilities and a reliable nature
- Ability to work flexible hours
As a passionate and experienced retail leader, you will motivate and build capability within your team whilst coaching for high performance.
