The role of our Strategic Insights team is to understand customers as real people living in a real society, not just data. We want to understand what they think, feel and do and, crucially, why. We create customer led insights by combining internal data analytics, research and external market context so that we can give the Group a rounded view of our customers.
Our Research team are experts in understanding customers and generating insights from research data. We are adept at applying customer research methodologies, managing bespoke strategic & tactical projects and have the ability to interpret results and clearly communicate key insights.
We have an opportunity to join this team as a Research Analyst, and we’re looking for analysts who are passionate about delivering actionable insight and have a strong proven grounding in consumer research – qualitative and quantitative.
You’ll support the Research Managers and Senior Managers in scoping, designing and analysing complex qualitative and quantitative consumer research, as well as simplifying complex data to identify important insights, and clearly and succinctly articulating those insights in a way that guides business strategies.
As a Research Analyst you’ll also:
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders, understanding business challenges, and influencing on the relevant research requirements to quickly and proactively identify key messages and stories.
- Gain experience of managing relationships with research agencies, creating clear briefs and working with agencies to deliver. As we also bring some research in-house, you’ll gain experience of delivering quantitative research end to end - particularly in taking raw data, analysing, interpreting and translating into clear insights.
- Act as a reference point for other team members on research techniques and challenges
About you:
An experienced consumer research analyst, you’ll be able to communicate effectively, have an eye for detail and demonstrate a restless curiosity. You'll be confident to challenge the status quo and we encourage innovative approaches to the way we do things.
Essential skills and experience we’re looking for you to have are:
- Deep qualitative and quantitative research expertise – scoping, designing, analysing and interpreting. Plus a strong practical understanding of how to best apply a broad range of research techniques
- Translate business requirements into well-conceived and actionable insight
- Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders
- Ability to quickly translate business requirements into a coherent brief that balances cost, time and robustness, with the ability to influence/ guide on relevant research requirements
- Ability to quickly and proactively identify key messages and stories communicating these clearly
- Strong project management capabilities, with flexible approach to adapt to changes

Depending on base location and experience, the salary guide for this role is from £28,332 to £46,337.
