This is fantastic opportunity to lead the delivery of insightful, high quality sophisticated data and analysis! You'll work in conjunction with the wide range of partners we support within Customer Financial Assistance Effectiveness (CFA) and our Late Mortgage collections teams. You’ll set the strategic direction of mortgages operational analytics, helping identify key performance opportunities to improve LBG’s mortgage collections approach, and identify opportunities to help customers get back to financial health as quickly as possible. You’ll also help senior management make better, data driven decisions, to support LBG customers through the collections journey in Mortgages.
What you'll be doing …
CFA Effectiveness are a key part of keeping the customer at the heart of everything we do. Providing high quality insight and analysis to continue develop our understanding of the constantly evolving needs of our CFA customers which enables us to make better decisions, helping us build the best bank for customers.
You’ll play a key role in working with cross department collaborators to lead the delivery of insightful and practical insights, which can be distilled into key messages for senior audiences.
This role will drive forward the development of insights in collaboration with various stakeholders. As a team we follow a hybrid working model, combining working from home with working one of our hubs Chester/Pitrevie/London/Brighton, you'll typically be in the office 2 days per week.
Day to day:
Leads and manages a high performing team by developing colleagues through stretching objectives, feedback and coaching. Lead a team of analysts to develop coding that collects, manipulates, interprets and challenges data from various environments and using a variety of data tools.
Interpret external market developments ensuring effective policies and procedures are developed to meet the needs and to support the achievement of the business unit objectives
Initiate and deliver agreed change programmes to achieve continuous improvement
Provide insightful information, guidance and advice to influence business decisions
Lead the informed decision making around data insights which are then delivered to senior audiences in a clear and concise way.
Work with key partners to ensure any analysis is impactful, practical, and has been fully considered.
Be an SME on CFA data. Utilising data expertise to support and lead on projects and operational improvement.
What you can bring to the role
Essential
We’re looking someone who is passionate about data, keen to learn, and who can adopt new ways of working, having worked in a similar senior analytical role.
Excellent all round data skills are key to success in this role, with previous experience in leading analytical and technical teams.
You'll have a strong data background and good attention to detail. You’ll also have a collaborative, continuous improvement and risk management approach.
Desirable
Retail Banking and specific mortgage or collections experience
