Distressed Debt - Commodities and Global Markets EMEA
Location: Greater London
Job Type: Full time
As an Associate Director in the Specialised and Asset Finance (SAF) team, you will be instrumental in the origination and execution of distressed debt transactions across EMEA. You will work on origination efforts by leveraging your strong relationships with strategic clients, private equity firms and other financial sponsors. We are looking for an experienced Vice President with strong credit and debt experience gained at a top tier investment bank.
Your understanding of the broader market, strategic and collaborative approach to work, and strong interpersonal skills will help you thrive in a relationships-focused role to set-up and grow this business. You will possess sound commercial judgement and strong presentation skills. You will have experience in leading and supervising complex transactions and initiatives.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate success in origination, structuring, business development and strategic partnerships, as well as a natural ability to rapidly network within a global group (such as Macquarie), and identify the appropriate resources needed to fulfil a specific opportunity. You will have experience executing transactions along with originating, specifically through:
- Assessment of liquidity and debt maturity - look at what is needed for the short term
- Preparation of business plans - redesign strategy and capital structure long term
- Analyse operational initiatives and implement strategy redesign.
If you have at least 10+ years’ experience in a similar position, demonstrate impeccable judgment, strong communication skills, as well as a self-sufficient, organized, results oriented mindset, we would like to hear from you. International experience will be considered as an advantage.
