Macquarie Asset Management division has an opportunity to join our Enterprise team in London as a Customer Onboarding Relationship Manager. This is a new and exciting support function where you will get direct exposure working with Investment, Fund Management and Operations, Compliance and Risk professionals, in addition to working with Project managers and senior leadership to roll out strategic change initiatives. You will have the opportunity to play a key role in shaping our customer experience globally.

As part of this new team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting our Investment teams with Know Your Customer (KYC) onboarding requests and working with internal and external onboarding service providers to ensure a smooth and frictionless experience
  • Liaising directly with external Customers to facilitate KYC information and documentation requests as a relationship manager
  • Responsibility for tracking requests and overall prioritisation across business units to ensure a best-in-class service to all our Investment teams
  • Accountability for the delivery and execution of effective KYC refresh oversight and monitoring; working within SLAs to ensure risk is appropriately managed and the process runs smoothly
  • First point of contact for internal stakeholders and support groups regarding all customer and onboarding related matters in relation to KYC
  • Conducing quality assurance reviews on a periodic basis and reporting results back to management and risk stakeholders
  • As a subject matter expert, support Project managers with future target state programs of work, such as, the expansion of onboarding services to external service providers

More about you

  • Experience working within the capacity of a Customer Onboarding Relationship Manager (or a similar support function)
  • Working knowledge of KYC onboarding and processes and of Financial Crime, Risk policies and frameworks
  • Ability to independently drive outcomes whilst working in a collaborative team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate a learning mindset with ability to understand policy and process, and navigate through complexity and ambiguity to problem-solve
  • Experience interrogating processes and coming up with improvements and efficiencies; working with stakeholders to implement change to enhance existing and develop new customer centric capabilities
  • Knowledge of working within an Asset Management business and familiarity with the types of business Customers (investors, funds/fund counterparties, clients, fund administrators, fund/asset service providers)
