As an Engineer, you will join the wider Corporate Operations Group and be part of the existing Trade Surveillance Technology delivery team, where you will be responsible for architecture design, development, testing and operations to deliver incrementally in iterative cycles. We have a new setup where you will get full opportunity to be creative and work with the latest AWS and big data technologies (Airflow,Presto etc).
Most importantly to succeed in this role, you will champion a learning mindset and bring your passion for technology and in return you’ll be empowered to continuously develop and grow within our team. You’ll be a self-motivated team player with an agile mindset and will get to showcase your great communication skills to deliver and make a positive impact.
We anticipate that to excel in this role you will ideally have:
- 3-4+ years of practical experience in Core Java (1.8 preferred)
- working knowledge of Cloud technologies (We use AWS Cloud so it’s a bonus if you have experience with AWS and hands-on services like S3, EC2 etc.)
- experience using and developing RESTful APIs such as SpringBoot
- experience using SQL Databases
It would be a bonus if you bring: (not mandatory as you will get to learn and develop your knowledge and experience)
- experience with big data technologies and platforms such as Apache Spark/Impala/presto
- experience in trade surveillance and monitoring
- domain knowledge and experience in Financial Services(prefrably trade lifecycle)
- experience with SDLC tools (e.g. Bamboo, Jenkins, JIRA, GIT, Confluence)
