Are you a talented Lead Software Engineer looking for your next challenge?
As a Lead Engineer in our team, you’ll take part in end-to-end solution delivery. You’ll design and build clean, efficient, robust and reliable solutions that deliver to our business and our future state architecture, as a team owning the solution end to end. You will also share responsibility towards improving quality, modernising our stack, continuous delivery, production support and are passionate about growing upon our DevOps principles.
With experience in a similar role, you will have an agile mindset and an impressive software engineering track record across a range of technologies. You’ll have strong knowledge of Python and exposure to highly transactional message-based systems, complex event processing and microservices architectures covering batch, real-time, synchronous and asynchronous patterns. You’ll also possess skills in databases platforms.
You will:
- Become a valued partner by anticipating and proposing alternative solutions to help business extend their reach.
- Develop senior relationships to gain and utilize a deep understanding of the business wins to transform current business models with innovative technology solutions.
- Lead global DevOps teams to provide end-to-end design, delivery and operation of applications and solutions.
- Develop and set platform priorities, budgets and resourcing requirements.
- Run the technology in line with the bank’s policies and architecture standards to ensure risks are understood, communicated, and effectively mitigated.
- Champion technology excellence, practice and innovative technologies to automate, simplify and innovate the technology landscape.
For this role you will ideally:
- Have significantly demonstrated hands-on experience of managing and developing technology solutions to multiple internal clients.
- Be entrepreneurial, highly motivated and self-directed with a strong delivery mindset.
- Be able to articulate complex technical problems and their solutions simply.
- Be passionate about building and leading, high-performing delivery teams and proposing and achieving successful outcomes for a significant asset management business.
- Be adept at engaging, collaborating and influencing people at all levels and areas of financial services organizations
- Have experience in program and delivery management, including budgets and forecasts.
- Be adept at collaborating across global teams, navigating time zones effectively and have flexibility to prioritize your time and travel
