Join us and work with our HR team to efficiently deliver full lifecycle support for the Workday HR Management system for PA. This application supports all the major business processes that deal with people related transactions across the firm.

The Workday HCM Lead provides an important face to the business and is a key role in delivering an effective service to all areas of the organisation (both in terms of change and BAU support); achieving high levels of customer satisfaction whilst providing a great customer experience and the highest quality in delivery – whilst ensuring all policy and compliance requirements are met.

The wider team also has responsibility for constant improvement – reviewing how the system design, processes and data can be optimised to make service improvements and taking a pro-active approach to lead and not just respond to business requirements.

This is a hands-on and strategic ownership role focused on Workday HCM. You will work with diverse stakeholders and create strong relationships with internal customers, within the HR function and with any delivery partners (e.g. an Application Management Support service provider). This will require excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will be actively involved in the full lifecycle of change, working to manage the Workday Roadmap, identify enhancements and solutions to issues within agreed SLAs, manage requirements and ensure that solutions meet the needs of the business.

PA are currently transitioning to Workday HCM, and as such this is a great opportunity to get involved at the very beginning to shape our Workday journey and build strong relationships with key people in the business.

Further ahead will be the opportunity to be at the forefront of transitioning into the ongoing delivery of day-to-day activities and enhancements related to Workday HCM, managing and evolving the approach to BAU support and delivering change based on the roadmap strategy and legal and regulatory requirements.

Activity the role will undertake includes:

  • Lead the drive to deliver the best value from the Workday HCM system

  • Lead the governance and roadmap process and manage cross-functional resource to deliver HR strategy

  • Ownership for ongoing management, design, deployment and maintenance of Workday HCM

  • Manage and own regular Workday feature releases (including evaluation, impact and value analysis)

  • Serve as a trusted partner to business and function leaders to continuously improve service delivery

  • Lead the Workday support team, ensuring day-to-day system support is balanced with strategic enhancements and projects alongside audit/compliance and general IT process requirements

  • Undertake support/delivery partner relationship management and oversight

  • Ensure documentation of system functions, processes and capabilities is kept up to date and current e.g. via user guides, in-system help

  • Develop and promote continuous learning within the support team

Qualifications

What we're looking for

Qualifications and Experience

  • High level of experience of working with Workday HCM

  • Keen understanding of Workday configuration

  • Knowledge of core HCM concepts such as organisations, hierarchies, workflows, reporting

  • Experience in supporting HCM areas such as Core HR, Absence, Benefits, Talent, Learning

  • Understanding of system security, roles, segregation of duties

  • Track record of managing system change and support using associated processes and attention to detail

Desirable Capabilities

  • Experience of working within a global professional services industry sector(s)

  • Has an HR background
