Mitigation Technician

Job Location: Remote

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Mitigation team working remotely.

Sedgwick specialises in the provision of claims management and loss adjusting services. Working in partnership with you, Sedgwick can unlock your potential - learning and growth. When it comes to investing in our employees development, we are unrivalled in our market sector.

As a Tree Mitigation Specialist, you will work within our Mitigation team pursuing third parties, gaining their approval for the necessary vegetation measures. You will work closely with our award winning Subsidence Team, to help prevent further damage occurring to their customers property. It will be your responsibility to deliver high levels of mitigation success within the shortest duration possible. Youll act as first point of contact for third parties and members of our in house Subsidence Services team for any mitigation queries.

As well as proactively driving your case portfolio you will be required to:

  • Manage tree mitigation work to agreed service standards

  • Provide the desired level of updates to Subsidence Services

  • Interpret instructions and documentation from Subsidence Services

  • Interpret and comment on arboriculture reports, site investigation reports, soils analysis and root evidence

  • Form and maintain working relationships with third parties and local authorities to improve the cooperation and communication concerning tree mitigation matters

  • Manage tree mitigation in accordance with any specific protocols

  • Ensure that tree mitigation is handled in accordance with current statute

  • Provide tree mitigation advice to Subsidence Services

  • Deal with telephone calls and queries

  • Raise invoices for work completed and deal with any invoice queries

The skills you will have when you apply:

  • Customer Service Experience - Previous experience working within a customer service or office-based environment, delivering professional support and resolving customer queries effectively.

  • Organisation & Delivery - Highly organised and detail-focused, with the ability to manage competing priorities and drive tasks through to successful completion.

  • Resilience & Adaptability - Committed and results-driven, with the flexibility to perform effectively during periods of high workload and within a rapidly changing environment.

  • Communication & Customer Management - Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to handle challenging customer interactions over the telephone in a professional, empathetic and assertive manner.

  • Technical Capability - Experience using computer-based claims handling systems and confidence working across digital platforms and business applications.

  • Continuous Improvement Mindset - Open to change and keen to embrace innovative ways of working that enhance efficiency, service quality and customer outcomes.
