Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Applied Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 4+ years of Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Applied Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 3+ years of Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Applied Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 2+ years of Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or related work experience.
- 2+ years of experience with data modeling in statistical software such as MS Excel, Minitab, etc.
What you will be doing
This is an exciting technical role working with leading edge Bluetooth, Audio and IoT products within the Quality Organization based in Cambridge. The focus will be on both commercial and automotive products.
The successful candidate will interact extensively with Qualcomm engineering teams in Europe, the US and Asia to ensure high levels of product quality from new product development through to mass production and customer use.
There will also be close working with customers and customer facing teams to resolve and manufacturability issues with Qualcomm products.
The ideal candidate will have a background in engineering in a semiconductor manufacturing or fabless semiconductor environment including leading problem-solving teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be the point of contact for Cambridge products (Voice & Music, IoT).
- Provide Quality perspective in New Product Development Process.
- Provide technical inputs into Non-conforming materials reviews
- Work with customers and Engineering teams to address customer manufacturing issues.
- Define and monitor key quality metrics.
- Lead 8D problem solving teams issues affecting for Cambridge Products.
- Drive continuous improvement in processes and product quality.
Ideal Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, Electronics, or related disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Some of the things we would like to see
- General understanding of Semiconductor technology
- Specific experience in a technical role such as Product Engineering, Foundry/ Process Technology, Packaging and Assembly, Customer Supplier Quality or similar.
- Experience in applying 8D Methodology or Six Sigma.
- Excellent team working and communication skills including report writing.
What would make you stand out?
- Familiarity with Digital & Mixed signal test systems and methods.
- Understanding of CMOS reliability (Silicon and package reliability).
- Experience of CMOS Manufacturing, construction, and deconstruction.
- Understanding of IC Design methodologies.
- Understanding of PPAP / APQP / IATF 16949.
Personal Qualities
Confident Self-starter – Flexible and willing to take the lead on key issues. Good communicator must be clear, persistent. Can manage difficult conversations. Must be able to travel to US / ASIA /Europe.
Very good verbal and written communications in English.
