About the role:
The Voice & Music Business Unit is looking for a Product Manager with a strong background in semiconductor products who wants to help us take advantage of the exciting market opportunities for wireless earbuds, headsets and portable audio products.
Our Wireless Audio System on Chip (“SoC”) Platforms combine cutting edge semiconductor engineering with leading audio and wireless technologies such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi delivering exciting next generation experiences to consumers.
The successful candidate will be responsible for one or more of our SoC platforms. They will work with lead customers and partners to understand market requirements and key technology trends, helping to define our next generation products in alignment with market needs and our business strategy. They will work with engineering and programme management to ultimately deliver the SoC platform to market.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Defining and owning new Voice & Music SoC products
- Assisting with defining new Voice & Music SoC products, including generation of new product proposals and helping to secure executive approval for development to commence
- Working with lead engineers and programme management to bring product proposals through Qualcomm's Product Development Lifecycle, and managing the product throughout its development to ensure it meets the required KPIs and schedule
- Management of product launch to lead customers
- Liaising with key customers and partners throughout the product lifecycle
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years in senior technical roles, preferably with systems-level engineering experience
Experience in customer facing roles
Experience defining new high technology products and successfully bringing those products to market
Experience working with diverse, global teams, including programme management, marketing and engineering teams
Experience working with Bluetooth and/or Wi-Fi technologies
Experience working with audio technologies
Experience in SoC product engineering

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.
