About the role

We are looking for Communities Advisors based in inland and costal locations who will be part of the Pilbara Communities team. You will support the delivery of the Communities Social Investment plan within region working with key local government and community organisations.
Our approach to Communities and Social Performance (CSP) is to build strong partnerships based on a relationship of mutual trust and respect. This includes the way we engage with communities and the steps we take to identify and manage social, economic, environmental, cultural, and human rights impacts throughout the life cycle of our projects, from exploration, to project development, to operation and closure.
Reporting to the Superintendent of Communities, and working alongside a collaborative and diverse team, you will:
- Support the delivery of the 5-year CSP (Communities & Social Performance) Strategy
- Support the coordination of projects, including logistics and internal and external communication
- Support the coordination of community events and festivals, including; logistics, vendor management and internal and external communication
- Deliver national initiatives within the local community (i.e. health awareness initiatives)
- Support local social investment, including managing relationships with existing partners and directing requests to the central Social Investment team
- Participate in community-driven consultation and engagement
What you’ll bring

- A degree qualification or equivalent in a relevant field or discipline
- Strong stakeholder & community engagement
- Experience in community & social investment, Land connected / Indigenous People support
- Experience in government relations
- Experience in community agreement management
- Experience in complaints, grievance & issue management
