About the Opportunity:
- Develop reliable software for manufacturing rigs and internal development tools
- Implement and optimise mathematical algorithms
- Write and maintain unit tests to ensure software quality
- Help improve test, support and development infrastructure
- Translate customer needs into clear technical requirements
- Take part in design reviews and provide technical feedback
- Turn requirements into high‑quality software using modern practices

- Strong Python and JavaScript skills and experience
- Experience with physical or hardware‑based products - such as manufacturing, instrumentation, or other critical systems.
- Knowledge of data management and data visualisation
- Experience with requirements and system‑level design
- Comfortable with open‑source tools and libraries
- Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, version control and task management
- Basic understanding of UI/UX and front‑end development
- Good mathematical or numerical analysis skills
- Interest in science and sensor technology
- Some understanding of electronics
- Familiarity with code analysis tools
Desirable Experience:
- Knowledge of signal processing
- Awareness of how ML can support scientific or engineering workflows
- Experience using GenAI coding tools
Education:
- Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

Location: Crowborough, East Sussex, UK
Hybrid Working: after the initial settling in period, a hybrid working pattern can be adopted, with a minimum of three days per week onsite.
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent, 38 hours per week.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (flexible start and finish times)
Salary – £60,000 - £75,000
