About the Role
As an Integration and Automation Engineer you will be responsible for implementing the Technology Test Strategy and expanding the automation that powers Continuous Integration and Delivery for the Product Engineering (Web) team.
Our Engineering principles are based on BUILD it, RUN it, OWN it.
You’ll be designing and implementing functional testing scenarios focusing on end to end integration testing across Web, Platform, Newsroom platforms, enhancing the system to make sure our customers have the best experience with the top quality product.
You’ll collaborate in the development of our performance and verification pipelines, and the cloud infrastructure required to run these, with the constant aim of full automation.
Key Responsibilities
● Implement integration and end to end testing scenarios, enhancing automation testing, applying quality engineering in line with the Testing Strategy across Web, Platform and Newsroom.
● Understand the system architecture and collaborate with Software Engineers, Business Analysts and other technology teams to understand how automation can improve end to end workflow.
● Collaborate in the development of our performance and verification pipelines, and the cloud infrastructure required to run these, with the constant aim of full automation
● Being a part of the Delivery stream working closely with Engineers and Business Analysts to understand the requirements and suggest the best approach for integration and e2e testing leveraging automation
Essential Skills
● Expert understanding of quality engineering best practices to fully automate everything we do without any manual QA intervention.
● 3-5 years experience in writing testing automation preferably using Cypress framework
● A good understanding of internet technologies and architectures
● Understand the full life-cycle development process using agile methodologies Scrum/Kanban
● Essential programming skills for implementing integration testing scenarios and developing utilities and plugins for automation.
● Strong team worker with clear communication skills keen to share knowledge and support team mates
● A flexible attitude and are willing to tackle new challenges – someone who is dynamic, high-energy and works with a sense of urgency
